Important Info

The event will proceed rain or shine. In the case of severe weather warnings, please refer to the event page at 4pm on the day of the performance for final weather arrangements.

Picnic blankets and low event/beach chairs are permitted. There are no seats provided for patrons.
No catering is available onsite. We encourage you to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
BYO food is permitted.
There are no fireworks at this event.

Performance FAQs

When is the performance?

7pm Sat 01 March. One performance only.

Where do I go?

Elder Park, King William Road, Adelaide

Is the event free or ticketed?

The performance is FREE, no need for registration.

The event is not fenced.

What time should I get there?

The performance starts at 19:00.

Patrons are welcome to arrive anytime in the afternoon to secure their position to watch the performance. Keep in mind there is no on-site catering and to be sun smart if you are planning to arrive early.

How long is the performance?

The performance will run for approximately 35 minutes from 7pm.

What is the age suitability of MASS MOVEMENT?

All ages

Is the event seated?

The event is FREE and seating is not provided.

You can bring your own picnic blanket or low beach/event chair/cushion but please be considerate of other patrons wishing to view the event.

Access

Where can I enter the event?

The event site is not fenced and can be accessed from any public access point.

Is there an accessible viewing area?

A limited viewing area is available – this is on grass and not raised. Best access is from King William Road and along the top path to the Rotunda.

Is there an accessibility drop off zone?

Yes. Off King William Road, in front of Adelaide Festival Theatre.

Facilities

Are toilets available on site?

Temporary toilets (including access toilets) will be available on site.

Toilets are also available on Festival Plaza and at the Space Theatre/Dunstan Playhouse foyer at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Are there any catering/food/drinks provided?

Patrons are encouraged to support local hospitality traders before and after the event or BYO food and non-alcoholic beverages.

The event site is a DRY ZONE.

Is there an ATM on site?

There are no ATMs on site.

Is there First Aid on site?

There will be dedicated first aid on site for the event as well as security to ensure a fun and safe experience for all patrons.

What if I lose something during the event?

What should I bring?

- Suitable clothing for the weather conditions and an outdoor event
- Drink bottle – refill stations available on site
- Food and drink if desired
- Picnic blanket or low chair if desired
- Sunscreen, hat, insect repellent etc.

What am I NOT permitted to bring?

- Umbrellas, tents or sunshades
- Bikes (not within the event site but dedicated bike parking will be available)
- Pets (guide and assistance animals permitted)
- Professional standard still or video cameras, audio recording devices and tripods
- Illicit substances
- High chairs, inflatable chairs, bean bags – any raised chairs
- Weapons and knives
- Fireworks, flares, sparklers or fire twirling equipment

Weather

What happens in case of extreme heat?

In case of temperatures 36 degrees or over, temporary shades will be permitted onto site, but the use of tent pegs is strictly prohibited. All temporary shades must be dismantled at 6:30pm.

We also encourage that you take all precautions that you normally would during extreme heat – Slip, Slop, Slap and keep hydrated.

Will the outdoor event go ahead if it’s raining?

Event proceeds rain or shine. In the case of extreme weather, refer to the event page at 4pm on the day of the performance for final weather arrangements.

Cycling & Public Transport

Will there be somewhere to lock my bike?

Yes, we love to encourage cycling to events. Bikes are not allowed within the event site, however bike parking will be offered at the top of Elder Park.

What public transport stops are the closest?

By Bus

Please refer to the Adelaide Metro website for bus options to Adelaide, the closest Bus Stops to the event site are A2-A3 travelling from North into Adelaide CBD or stop Z1-Z2 travelling into the Adelaide CBD from the South.

By Train
Elder Park is a short walk from the Adelaide Railway Station.

By Tram
Tram from Glenelg or Adelaide Entertainment Centre, stop at Festival Plaza, Adelaide Railway Station, North Terrace.
